Aperol Spritz from Just Cocktails
Aperol spritzes: they’re everywhere! It is often described as an Italian sunset cocktail which many people drink anytime of the day. I have seen people sipping on this cocktail at 10 a.m. or even 7 p.m., making it easy to realize that happy hour is every hour over in Europe.
I quickly realized that I could get an aperol spritz anywhere. To be quite honest, I’ve had my share of aperol spritzes around Arezzo, as they are offered at almost every restaurant. Specifically, my favorite go-to restaurants for cocktails are Just Cocktails and Dirty Rat. The ingredients are simple in this bitter, bright orange cocktail. It consists of soda water, aperol, and prosecco. This cocktail has a slightly bitter taste, a sweet hint of orange, with a slight tang of different herbs from the aperol liquor. It is balanced out by the sparkle of prosecco and the refreshing splash of soda water.

Not only does the flavor of this delicious drink excite your taste buds, but it also is one of the most photogenic cocktails. The colors and the garnish of an aperol spritz has it tasting just as good as it looks! It makes for the perfect Instagram post, which is the only reason you order a cute cocktail, right? When the cocktails look pretty and are poured in a fancy glass, the happy hour experience is ten times better!
