Caramello Salato e Noci Macadamia Australiane from Nuii
Hey, ya’ll! New gelato update-
So I decided to take a break from gelato and try out some of the freezer ice cream that’s available in a lot of the snack shops around Arezzo. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. My current obsession is Nuii ice cream bars. I’ve been forcing all my friends to come with me and try them after we get dinner. They all loved them just as much as I did, so I thought, why not write about it?
They have tons of different flavors, but overall, the Caramello Salato e Noci Macadamia Australiane is my go-to. It is a creamy vanilla ice cream with caramel swirled in. Covered with a satisfying chocolate hard shell and sprinkled with tiny bits of macadamia nuts, it almost tastes like the little malt puffs that are in Crunch bars–absolutely delish. The crunchy, hard shell combined with the melty ice cream base gives everything it needs to. I am not typically a fan of plain vanilla ice cream, but that’s why all the other ingredients take the dessert from a five to a five hundred. Although it is a perfect size, once I finish it, I am always wishing I had grabbed two more. They’re just the ultimate sweet treat to satisfy your chocolate cravings–if you are into that.
"Quick, cheap and delicious." - Abbey Thigpen
If you prefer to have a fruit combo in with your dessert, this brand has what you need. Offering blends of raspberries, pecans and pistachios–all are absolutely divine. Another thing I have to mention is how affordable these bars are. Each one only costs €2.50! Some of the cakes and pastries here can tend to jump up to double digit numbers, so it is refreshing to find a sweet treat that tastes amazing but also won’t break your budget. You can find them almost anywhere, so just keep your eye out for the ice cream advertisements on the store fronts. Till next time, happy snacking!
